Police confirm condition of man stabbed at underground station in Archway

Archway station was closed on Friday (April 25) shortly after 6.10pm after reports of an incident.

A man was found with a stab wound to his leg and he was taken to hospital as a priority.

Hemmed in by marked and unmarked police cars, Mr Kaba drove the Audi backwards and forwards in an attempt to escape, the Old Bailey has heard.

The car had been used as a getaway vehicle in a shooting in nearby Brixton the night before, and was followed when a police officer recognised the number plate.

Officers did not know who was driving the car at the time.

Patryk Werkowski, 43, appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (August 16) after he was found guilty of causing serious injury by careless or inconsiderate driving.

The court heard that on July 21 last year the defendant was driving a truck on Streatham High Road when he turned across the path of an oncoming motorbike.

The crash left the motorcyclist with a jaw broken in two places, a cut to his left wrist which required six stitches and cuts to his lip, back, left hand and arm which also required stitches.
