British Transport Police (BTP) have confirmed that officers were called to the incident at Island Gardens DLR station just before 5.30pm on December 11.

The passenger sustained a head injury after falling down the stairs at the Isle of Dogs station, Transport for London (TfL) has said.

Paramedics took the customer to hospital, but they died there three weeks later on January 3.

A spokesperson for BTP said that the incident is “not being treated as suspicious” and that a file will be prepared for the coroner.
