The 26-year-old will also serve an additional year on licence and remain subject to notification requirements for 10 years. George-Candiani was stopped by Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) officers at Stansted on August 13 last year. Officers examined his phone and later searched his home, seizing an iPad. Streatham Common station Gatwick Express incident: Man dies Submitted by daniel on Mon, 10/11/2025 - 18:50 A casualty on the tracks was reported just before 5.40am on yesterday (November 9). Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended, however, the man was pronounced dead shortly after. The incident is not being treated as suspicious. Gatwick Express services between East Croydon and Clapham Junction were cancelled as the incident was dealt with. All lines reopened just before 9am. Trains will run as normal on Saturday (November 1). No Southern trains will run between West Croydon and Epsom Downs, Streatham and Suttonor Epsom via Mitcham Junction Replacement buses will run between West Croydon and Epson Downs via Sutton, calling at all stations. They will also run between Streatham and Epsom via Sutton, calling at Streatham Hill, Streatham Common and all stations via Mitcham Junction. Woodbourne Avenue Streatham murder probe: Man charged Submitted by daniel on Mon, 27/10/2025 - 15:42 Police were called to Woodbourne Avenue on May 16 following the death of 81-year-old Robert Hill. At the time, his death was not believed to be suspicious. However new information then came to light, which led to a murder investigation being launched. David Souttar, 22, of Chelsham Road in Clapham, was charged with murder last Thursday (October 23) after being arrested on October 16. SL15 Superloop to stop in Forest Hill, Catford and Eltham Submitted by daniel on Mon, 27/10/2025 - 07:00 The proposed route will run along the A205 South Circular Road, operating as a single-deck bus service due to a low bridge on Thurlow Park Road. Buses are expected to run every 12 minutes from Monday to Saturday between 5am and 12.30am, and every 15 minutes on Sundays, evenings and early weekday mornings. TfL says the SL15 will reduce journey times and create faster connections between local centres, railway stations, and key work and leisure destinations.
