All properties in Croydon and Streatham affected by the broken pipe should now have water back in their taps, according to Thames Water.

The pipe, located on Commonside East, CR4, caused homes in CR0, CR2, CR4, CR7, and SW16 to experience no water or low pressure over the past two days.

Thames Water said the leak has been stopped and excess water drained.

The water company successfully rerouted water from other pipes to restore supply.

An excavation is underway to fix the damaged pipe.

The affected postcodes are CR0, CR2, CR4, CR7, and SW16.

A large shaft has been dug to access the damaged pipe, and a second one is being constructed.
