From approximately 11.30pm until the end of service, Southern trains will be amended as follows:

Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (September 15, September 16, and September 18):

The 10.33pm train from Uckfield to London Bridge train will terminate at East Croydon.

The 11.58pm train from London Bridge to Streatham Hill train will not run.

On Tuesday (September 9), two 16-year-olds were on a Thameslink train between Streatham and Tulse Hill.

The teenagers were approached by two older men who demanded their phones and items of clothing.

The teenagers refused and were physically attached and punched by the two men.

The two men also allegedly threatened to kill them.

The British Transport Police is appealing for witnesses to come forward if they saw the incident or have any information.

The company announced in a statement on its website the closure of its Beulah Spa in Streatham, which will be officially closing permanently from tomorrow (September 8).

The venue is known for its unlimited salad bar, breakfasts and affordable dining options, and is located between Crystal Palace and Dulwich.

The Harvester brand has encouraged customers to make the most of their final chance to dine at the Beulah Spa before Monday’s closure.

Saturday and Sunday (September 6 to September 7):

Engineering work is taking place between Shepherds Bush and Watford Junction, closing some lines.

From 7.30pm on Saturday evening until 12pm on Sunday, and from 8pm until the end of service on Sunday, no Southern trains will run between Shepherds Bush and Watford Junction.

Sunday (September 7):

The works will affect trains from Monday (September 1) to Thursday (September 4).

Trains will run as normal on Friday (September 5).

Monday to Thursday (September 1 to September 4):

Engineering work is taking place between New Cross Gate and Norwood Junction, closing various lines in the area overnight from Monday evening until Friday morning.

Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters were called to a fire on Leigham Court Road just after midnight (August 23).

The impacted school is believed to be Julian's Primary School.

Operators answered six calls to the blaze and crews from West Norwood, Norbury, Tooting, Brixton and surrounding fire stations were sent to the scene.

A 32-metre turntable ladder from Clapham Fire Station was also used.

The fire was brought under control by 2.40am but crews have remained on scene throughout the night damping down.

The changes are due to engineering work and will affect trains on Saturday and Sunday (August 9 and August 10).

Saturday and Sunday (August 9 and August 10):

Engineering work is taking place in Tulse Hill, Streatham and Sutton via Mitcham Junction, closing all lines.

Buses will replace trains between Streatham and Sutton via Mitcham Junction on Saturday (August 9).

Replacement buses will run between Tulse Hill and Sutton via Mitcham Junction on Sunday (August 10).

Southern and London Overground trains will be severely disrupted this weekend.

This is due to planned engineering works on various routes.

The disruption will affect routes between East Croydon, Clapham Junction, and Watford Junction, as well as Southern services between London Victoria, Oxted, East Grinstead, London Bridge, East Croydon, and Uckfield.

Some lines will be closed, and trains will be replaced by buses, with some services operating on amended timetables.

Harvey Briggs, 22, will return to the club for another campaign, having enjoyed a breakthrough last season.

And former Romford junior Mikey Power, 24, will also be back in a gold and blue jersey after spending a year at Essex rivals Chelmsford.
