We are thrilled to share that several GDST schools have been recognised in the 2025 Education Choices Magazine Awards, a celebration of outstanding innovation and leadership across the UK’s education sector. From inclusive SEN provision to embedding diversity in the curriculum and empowering student voice, GDST schools continue to lead the way in progressive and impactful education.

Four GDST schools recognised in five categories

Sydenham High School was named the Senior Winner in Inclusive SEN Provision, a testament to the school’s exceptional support for students with special educational needs. Sydenham High was also honoured with a special mention in Enveloping EDI in the Curriculum, highlighting its whole-school approach to equality, diversity and inclusion.

Blackheath High School was named joint Senior Winner, alongside St Paul’s School, for Enveloping EDI in the Curriculum. Blackheath High’s dynamic curriculum initiatives are designed to reflect and respect the diverse world students live in today, nurturing empathy, cultural literacy and a strong sense of identity.

Wimbledon High School earned the title of Senior Winner for Developing School Partnerships. The school’s commitment to collaborative projects with local schools and community organisations reflects GDST’s mission to widen educational opportunity and build meaningful, lasting connections beyond school gates.

Streatham & Clapham High School were awarded Senior Winner in Developing Student Voice for fostering a culture where students are empowered to speak up, lead initiatives and shape their school experience.

These awards are a powerful endorsement of the vision and dedication across the GDST family. Every one of our schools shares a deep commitment to reach as many girls as possible, supporting and empowering young women to achieve their full potential. Congratulations to all our winners and special mentions!
