Darrell Moore met the victim at a seafront nightclub in Brighton with friends in May 2022.

They then attended a friend’s flat in the city, where he committed two rapes and two sexual assaults by penetration.

Moore, 33, of Albert Carr Gardens, Streatham, stood trial at Hove Crown Court on October 20.

A jury found him guilty of the four counts on October 24.

He now faces sentencing for the offences on January 16 next year.

The court was told how the incident happened on May 15, 2022, after a group left a beachfront nightclub at about 5am and went to get fast-food together.

The group went back to the flat of a friend of the victim, and in a separate room, Moore preyed on the victim and raped her.

The victim, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, received support from specially-trained officers.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Elaine Welsh said: “This was a distressing incident for the victim.

“I would like to thank her for supporting the investigation, and commend her bravery and strength to secure justice in this case.

“This was a life-changing event for her, but her courage has ensured our community is safer for women, she has helped remove this predator from our streets.”
