Trains on the lines between Charing Cross and Hayes in Kent face severe delays after a lorry hit a railway bridge.

The railway bridge between Elmers End and Eden Park was hit and the lorry has become wedged at an angle.

National Rail says lines have reopened following the collision, with service gradually returning to normal.

Bakerloo Line upgrade

Londoners overwhelmingly support plans to upgrade and extend the Bakerloo line, according to a survey.

New polling by London councils reveals that nine in ten businesses (89%) support the proposals which aim to extend the lifespan of the 119-year-old Underground line.

Changes to Central London bus routes

Transport for London (TfL) has confirmed it will be withdrawing sections of two of its bus services in central London.

The 30 and 205 routes will both be restructured affecting trips between Paddington, Marble Arch and Euston, while additional journeys will be added for the 27 in a bid to mitigate the changes.

There are serious delays on the A3220 Battersea Bridge Road in both directions at the junction of B305 Westbridge Road due to TfL works.

East Croydon disruption

The fault with the signalling system at East Croydon has resulted in the following changes in services:

The Gatwick Express service has been suspended until further notice

Southern services which travel between London Bridge and East Croydon via Peckham Rye are suspended

Southern services that run between Reigate and London Victoria will be suspended outside of peak travel times

Southern services between Ore and London Victoria will also call at Selhurst in both directions

East Croydon disruption

The disruption caused by the fault with the signalling system at East Croydon is affecting the following services.

Gatwick Express services between London Victoria and Brighton

Southern services between London Victoria and Bognor Regis / East Grinstead / Eastbourne / Littlehampton / Havant / Hastings / Ore / Portsmouth Harbour / Reigate, also between London Bridge and Caterham / East Croydon / Uckfield, and also between Watford Junction and East Croydon

Thameslink services between Bedford and Flitwick / Three Bridges / Haywards Heath / Brighton, between Cambridge and Brighton, London St Pancras International and London Bridge / East Grinstead and also between Peterborough and Three Bridges / Horsham

The disruption is expected until 12.00pm.

There is a good service on all London Underground and Overground lines.

Metropolitan line resumes good service

Metropolitan line resumes good service following minor delays on Tuesday morning.
