There are major rush hour delays on approach to the Blackwall tunnel

Ross Lydall

The A102 Blackwall Tunnel approach northbound is closed following a crash causing long morning rush hour delays.

According to reports, the collision happened on Wednesday morning at around 1:30am. The road is closed between the A2 (Sun In The Sands Roundabout, Blackheath) and the A206 (Woolwich Road Flyover, Greenwich).

As a result, traffic is building around the area, and drivers should allow more time for their trips. Local bus services are also being rerouted around the closure.
