As one of the world's most in-demand supermodels, she's spent decades hopping from plane to hotel and catwalk to nightclub.

And self-confessed germaphobe Naomi Campbell is always prepared with disinfectant spray and surgical gloves to keep illness at bay.

Luckily for the Streatham-born supermodel, 56, she had her kit to hand this weekend as she was forced to hop on a Lime Bike to dodge the traffic in between Paris Fashion Week shows.

But her attempt to prove that she's a woman-of-the-people might have baffled onlookers as her security guard cycled behind her while carrying her £85,000 crocodile Birkin bag.

Clearly late for her next show, a member of her team filmed her as she whipped out her blue latex gloves and sprayed down the public bike before hopping on.

'I'm stuck in Paris, I'm stuck, I'm trapped between demonstrations, so I have no choice but to take the bike,' she said.

'But it's impossible for me to take the bike without my gloves.'

Once on the bike, Ms Campbell quickly realised that she wasn't able to cycle properly, perhaps because she was wearing a pair of black and gold Chanel pumps.

'Okay, let's go,' she said. 'I don't even know if I can ride a bike, I haven't ridden a bike in years unless it was stationary.'

Juddering along the road, she shouted at her team: 'Oh my gosh, this is not happening, where are my sneakers? I was going to wear my sneakers today and you guys told me to wear shoes.'

Ms Campbell has long been a fan of germ-busting and went viral during the coronavirus pandemic when she was spotted boarding a plane in a full hazmat suit, a mask, gloves and a £3,000 Burberry scarf.

She then shared a five-minute-long video of herself meticulously wiping down her first-class plane seat and tray before sitting down.

'I love travelling, I was born travelling,' she said at the time. 'This is what I do on every plane I get on. It's my health, and it makes me feel better.

'No matter what plane you take, private or commercial, as the plane descends people start coughing and sneezing,' she said.

'So this is my protection. As much as I travel, I should get so much more sick with colds and stuff and I'm blessed that I don't. And I really think that this helps me.'

Ms Campbell has been hot-footing it around the shows during Paris Fashion Week just days after she won a legal challenge to overturn a five-year ban on being a charity trustee.

She was disqualified from being a charity trustee in 2024 after the Charity Commission uncovered a mismanagement of funds at her charity Fashion for Relief.
