FMcslides1808 78038 Streatham LCGB Surrey Wanderer Rail Tour

I spent lots of time standing on the platform just a bit in front of 78038 waiting for Holborn Viaduct and then Thameslink trains between 1986 and 1993!
Anyway back to the image, date is the 5th of July 1964 and Riddles Standard Class 2 78038 of Willesden Shed has been borrowed to work the LCGB Surrey Wanderer Rail Tour. If you look at the Six Bells link below it certainly did wonder!
The loco was new from Darlington Works to Bescot in November 1954 and withdrawn from Shrewsbury in August 1966. It was cut up at Cashmore's in Great Bridge the following December.
