Bell Ribeiro-Addy, the Labour MP for Streatham, appears to have been shunted out of her constituency in a move to accommodate New Labour Golden Boy Steve Reed.

Ribeiro-Addy has contacted all local party members telling them that it has been “decided” that she will contest the new Lambeth Central seat instead.

Moving into her existing patch is the returning Reed. The ex-Leader of Lambeth Council is keen to head home to the more familiar ground of the new Streatham and Norbury ward.

Lambeth bans Zippo’s Circus from Streatham Common after ‘unacceptable damage’ done to the park - BrixtonBuzz

Lambeth Council has withdrawn permission from Streatham Common after ‘unacceptable damage’ was caused to Streatham Common when they entered the site on Monday this week.

In a statement, Lambeth said:

The council has acted swiftly to prevent further damage to the site after local people raised concerns and the operator, Zippo’s Circus, has been notified with immediate effect.

This action was taken after it was found that appropriate ground protection was not used to move equipment on the site, despite being needed due to the poor weather conditions.
