Number of Brits missing after Nepal flood disaster rises to 48 - as mass burials begin 'before bodies have been identified'

Submitted by daniel on

Nepalese officials have admitted that they have so far identified only 20 of the 794 people who died after last week's flash floods as they prepare to bury bodies in mass graves before it is confirmed who they are.

Hospital mortuaries in Kathmandu and surrounding areas are overflowing with bodies retrieved from areas hit by flooding while others are being kept in makeshift shelters, with authorities struggling to cope as more are found each day.
