An additional 20 full- and part-time jobs have been created at The Holland Tringham, which has been managed by pub manager Reka Szigeti since September 2022. The pub, which first opened as a Wetherspoon in December 1998, has undergone a complete refurbishment to the customer area, as well as upgrades to the bar and other facilities. The school was rated as outstanding in every area: quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management and early years provision. Pupils told inspectors that it is an “amazing” school and parents and carers were “equally complimentary”. Ofsted reported that the school has a “happy, community feel” which is underpinned by “strong and nurturing” working relationships. Fernwood Avenue Streatham altercation: Man dies Submitted by daniel on Sun, 07/04/2024 - 08:00 Picture Image The incident happened in Fernwood Avenue just before 2.30pm on April 5. Officers were called to the scene and the man was found unresponsive. He was taken to hospital in a critical condition and was pronounced dead yesterday (April 6). Police believe they know his identity and enquiries are now ongoing to locate next of kin. A 38-year-old man was arrested at the scene in connection with the incident. Glenister Park Road Streatham fire 'murder' victim named Submitted by daniel on Tue, 19/03/2024 - 07:00 Picture Image Basilio Dos Santos Antonio, 49, was found dead inside a house on Glenister Park Road shortly after 7pm on Sunday, February 25. Basilio, originally from Brazil, had been in the UK for a number of years and worked as a cleaner. Detective Chief Inspector Kate Blackburn, who is leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts are with his family and friends as they continue to come to terms with their loss.” A 34-year-old woman, Mayara Loiola Ataide, a 46-year-old man, Gevaldo Tavares Dos Santos, have been charged with murder. Officers, paramedics and London Air Ambulance attended and found a man injured. He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after. His death is being treated as unexpected but not suspicious. His family has been informed and police will now prepare a file for the coroner.
