Appeal following rape in Streatham Submitted by daniel on Fri, 15/05/2026 - 14:00 Picture Image Police are appealing for a woman they believe to have been raped to come forward following an incident in Streatham. The attack took place on Blairderry Road at 05.30hrs on Tuesday, 12 May. While it was not reported at the time, it was later seen on CCTV footage and police were alerted the following day. On Wednesday, 1 April, a jury at Inner London Crown Court found Simon Ghebremedhin, 33 (01.01.1992), of Streatham High Road, SW16, guilty of the murder of 26-year-old Marjama Osman in Croydon. Commuters across south London will notice the new and adjusted services in just two weeks' time when train operator Southern rolls out its new December timetable from 15 December. It includes weekday services on some of its busiest routes through south London, including from Sutton and Norwood Junction, leading to more comfortable journeys into the city and connecting places with new direct trains.
