The pair are also charged with two counts of arson with intent to endanger life. The blaze broke out at a house that is divided into bedsits in Glenister Park Road, Streatham, shortly after 7pm. Loiola Ataide and Dos Santos appeared by videolink at the Old Bailey on Friday. The court heard the flat was owned by a former landlord of Loiola Ataide and Dos Santos, and that Dos Santos Antonio was a tenant. They are also charged with two counts of arson with intent to endanger life. The blaze broke out at a house that is divided into bedsits in Glenister Park Road, Streatham, shortly after 7pm on Sunday. The 49-year-old man was found dead inside. On Monday (February 26) a 34-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of murder and arson with intent to endanger life. The Metropolitan Police said a second person, a 47-year-old man, has also been arrested on suspicion of murder. Both remain in police custody. A 49-year-old man was found dead inside the property. Police have said that the fire is thought to have been started deliberately and is being treated as suspicious. Further enquiries are taking place. On Monday, February 26, a woman, 34, was arrested on suspicion of murder and arson with intent to endanger life. The incident happened outside a residential address in Briar Avenue. There has been no arrests at this stage. Officers attended and the man – believed to be in his 70s – was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed. At this time, the death is being treated as unexpected and unexplained.
