Brazen thief loads up bag of cosmetics from Boots shelves before casually walking out

A brazen thief loaded up a bag of cosmetics from the shelves of a branch of Boots before casually walking out.

The man was seen crouching down with an orange Sainsbury’s bag.

He calmly picked nine items and put them inside.

The shoplifter then picked it up and walked out without paying.

Shocked customers watched on in shock.

One shopper filmed the theft in a 17-second video.

It happened yesterday (9 Dec) morning at the Boots in Streatham High Road, Streatham, south London, as reported on Need To Know.

Local, Daniel Lamb, fumed: “Is it maybe time for store staff and public to start using identifying sprays to fight back?

“Otherwise, are we going to have to put things in machines like vending systems to combat the system shoplifters seem to know too well these days?”

Dave Corpe joked: “That’s his Christmas shopping done.”

Mike Lewis quipped: “But he’s just trying to feed his family.”

Another added: “Madness.”

Ashley Royce said: “He’s definitely got Christmas spirit ready.”

Samuele Aru said: “A new way of doing shopping.”

The Met Police and Boots have been approached for comment.
