During this five-week period, Lambeth residents nominated individuals, groups and organisations that make a difference through their time, work, or passion to help others. We received hundreds of nominations recognising and celebrating the immense contributions of our vibrant business community, our passionate voluntary sector, and the incredible people of Lambeth. Thank you to everyone who showed their appreciation and took time to nominate; we had some exceptional individuals and organisations nominated. Some of the finalists include The Boury Academy, Streatham Common Co-operative (SCCoop), Angela Lacey from Southeast London Mind and the Tony Hills Unit in Lambeth and Rachael Reign from Surviving UCKG and many more. The Civic Awards panel – made up of community partners and Councillors – have now shortlisted the finalists for the seven awards. Congratulations to all who were nominated and those who have been shortlisted. Cllr Claire Holland, Leader of the Council, said: “Lambeth is incredibly rich in kind, hardworking, committed people and organisations. Our communities make Lambeth what it is, all of them caring deeply for our Borough and helping it thrive.” “The Civic Awards are such a brilliant time of the year, as we get to hear wonderful stories and celebrate all the unsung heroes, so thank you to everyone who works tirelessly to make Lambeth such an amazing, vibrant place. I’m looking forward to celebrating with the finalists and winners in March” Cllr Donatus Anyanwu, Cabinet Member for Stronger Communities, Leisure, and Sport, said: “Huge congratulations to all the people who were nominated for a Civic Award and to the brilliant finalists. Our communities are the lifeblood of Lambeth and celebrating them is essential to making it a place we can all call home.” “The stories we receive from everyone are always heartwarming and we couldn’t be more grateful for the work everyone does. Thank you to those who nominated, and I look forward to celebrating with the finalists in March.” You can see our finalists and learn more about the Civic Awards at www.lambeth.gov.uk/awards Web Link Finalists for Lambeth Civic Awards 2026 announced - Love Lambeth Love Lambeth
