Submitted by daniel on Sun, 16/11/2025 - 19:39 Description Across the 14th and 15th of November, 39 Hampton rowers took part in the Junior Fours Head (Friday) and The Fours Head (Saturday), both raced over the same 6.8km course from Chiswick Bridge to Putney Pier. This year marks the return of The Fours Head for the first time since 2022, after cancellations due to bad weather, and the inaugural Junior Fours Head. With 6 boats racing on Friday and 2 on Saturday, the boat club was certainly well represented. Hamptonians performed well across all events, showing the strength and depth of the squad and the progress made so far this season. A particular mention must go to the top senior coxed four, who came 4th in the Senior Academic 4+ category, just over 2 seconds shy of the winning crew from Cambridge University. A second mention must also go to the top J16 4+, who finished in a very commendable 2nd place in their category, setting them up well for this season, and also to all those who raced in the torrential rain on Friday! The boat club now turns its attention to its own event, the Hampton Small Boats Head, on the 29th of November, and then to what the rest of the season has in store.
