Horror Streatham 'stabbing' outside Starbucks as onlookers see 'blood everywhere'

A horrific knife attack has left the streets of a London high street covered in blood. The public is being asked to avoid Streatham Hill as the emergency services deal with the situation.

The incident took place this afternoon outside a Starbucks on the busy south London suburb. Images uploaded to social media shows a police cordon outside the coffee shop.

A local resident who witnessed the aftermath told the Daily Star there was "a lot of blood". He added: "There was a few people helping the injured man. He seemed aware and conscious when I passed.

"He was sat outside the Starbucks. There was some blood on the back of his neck, so I'm not sure where he got stabbed."

One bystander wrote on social media: "There’s been a stabbing in Streatham and that’s like the first time I’ve seen blood just everywhere like that."

Another eyewitness took to X to say: "Avoid Streatham hill as it’s been cornered off outside Starbucks – a person has been stabbed. Police are at the scene and diverting away.

"I’m not sure on the wellbeing of the poor person – but praying for a recovery. Not sure if the attacker has been caught so please be safe."
