I headed down to the Camden branch to try out a selection of the items. Advertisement Here’s how I got on. I decided to go for the new Shack Savers Selection, which comprises a selection of mains, accompanied by a choice of two sides and a sauce. I went for two lobster tails, with lemon butter and two sides of a garden salad and mac and cheese. The cod was flakey and cooked brilliantly This came to £44, which may seem like a lot, but it serves as a generous portion and is cooked well. The lobster tails were still pink and cooked to perfection. Meanwhile, the mac and cheese was heavenly and a comforting treat, perfect for the miserable weather we have been experiencing. My partner opted for the cod fillet (£22) after fancying fish and chips for quite some time. The cod was a decent size especially as he had sides of fries and corn on the cob. Even he struggled to finish the main course but said that the fish was a delight and flaked apart. Other options on the Shack Savers Selection include: Lobster £45 24oz Mussels £17 Naked shrimps £22 Salmon £19 Seabass £18 Calamari £17 Chicken thighs £17 Rump steak £18 8oz, £21 12oz For those who don't fancy fish can opt for the burger I also tried a selection of starters including calamari crave (£8), which was delicious and coated in salt and pepper crumb, say cheese garlic bread (£7) which pretty much did what it said on the tin and another great comfort food. Finally, I also tried the zingy salt and pepper shrimps (£9), which were tempura-battered prawns with a sweet chilli sauce.
