KINGSTON OPTICIANS HORROCKS & BOYD SPONSORS RIVERSIDE CHARITY RUN AND CALLS ON LOCAL FAMILIES TO SNAP UP REMAINING PLACES

Independent local opticians Horrocks & Boyd has announced its official sponsorship of the upcoming Steps for Change Children’s Challenge, pledging a landmark £3,000 donation to spearhead the event. The community-focused business is now calling heavily on its clients, neighbours, and families across London to lace up their running shoes and secure their spots for the upcoming riverside challenge before places fill up.

The event, taking place on Sunday 20th September, features an accessible 5k and 10k route tracking the scenic River Thames from Kingston Bridge to Hampton Court Palace and back. Organised to raise vital funds for the charity Able Child, the event supports children with disabilities in Africa. Millions of children with disabilities do not ever access education of any kind. Able Child supports a network of organisations across seven African countries to tackle this. By stepping forward as the primary corporate sponsor, Horrocks & Boyd aims to inspire a wave of local participation to make this year’s turn-out a great success.
