CPZ Notice
Description

Lambeth Council have written to Streatham Vale residents to inform them that their planned roll out of the Streatham Vale ward CPZ previously scheduled for December 2025 has now been suspended indefinitely.

With no new  date fixed for the rollout, Lambeth Council cited austerity measures caused by the previous government as one reason for the delay. It stated that this has led to a £99 million budget deficit that it was planning to claw back over the next few years. This has led them to review and scale back investment in roads, including rolling out 2 new Controlled Parking Zones, named X and Y, across the entire Streatham Vale ward.

The news will likely come as a welcome respite for hundreds of local residents and workers including many teachers  and other professionals whose concerns were published on the same day Lambeth announced their plans for the  December CPZ rollout earlier this year.
