Technical issues with traffic cameras spark major disruption

Both the Blackwall and Rotherhithe tunnels are reporting heavy congestion due to technical issues with traffic cameras.

According to the AA, the northbound Blackwall Tunnel, from Greenwich to Poplar, are facing severe delays due to early morning closures.

There is heavy traffic on the A2, with queues stretching from Kidbrooke, across Blackheath and Trafalgar Road into Greenwich, as well as on the Lower Lea Crossing from Silvertown. The southbound side of the Blackwall Tunnel reopened shortly before 7am.

Acton Main Rail station to close early

The station will close at 22:47 each evening. Last trains will call at 22:40 (from Heathrow Terminal 4 to Abbey Wood) and 22:45 (from Abbey Wood to Heathrow Terminal 5).

Use local London Buses services.

Metropolitan line part closed

No Metropolitan line service between Baker Street and Aldgate due to a track fault at Baker Street. Use the Circle and Hammersmith & City lines to complete your journey.

Residual disruption at Southampton Central expected until 1pm

A speed restriction over defective track in the Southampton Central area means fewer trains are able to run. As a result, trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 15 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until 1pm.

Traffic is slow moving on Streatham High Road in both directions.

Northbound tailbacks from after Streatham Common and southbound from Leigham Avenue.

In addition Tooting Bec Gardens has eastbound delays from Garrad's Road. Expect delays.

Blackwall tunnel is still closed

Westbound traffic is slow on The Highway from Limehouse Link Tunnel. Westbound traffic is slow moving on Commercial Road from the junction of East India Dock Road. Expect delays.

The Elizabeth line is now providing a good service.

Disruption between Aylesbury and Amersham expected until 12pm

A fault with the signalling system at Great Missenden means some lines towards London are blocked. As a result, trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised.

Use alternative river crossings, TfL says

A spokesperson for TfL said: “Rotherhithe Tunnel, Upper Thames Street Tunnel and Hanger Lane Tunnel are currently closed due to an issue with the tunnel CCTV, which is vital for the safe operation of the tunnels.

"We have engineers urgently investigating the issue and are working hard to reopen the tunnels, with Blackwall Tunnel and Limehouse Link Tunnel having recently reopened.

"Drivers are advised to use alternative river crossings and to check before they travel.''

Disruption to / from Eastbourne expected until 3pm

A signalling fault in the Hampden Park area is causing disruption to services between Eastbourne and Hampden Park, with trains potentially facing delays of up to 15 minutes, cancellations, or alterations.

The disruption is expected to continue until 3pm.
