Harvey Briggs, 22, will return to the club for another campaign, having enjoyed a breakthrough last season.

And former Romford junior Mikey Power, 24, will also be back in a gold and blue jersey after spending a year at Essex rivals Chelmsford.

Buckman said: “Harvey gained some valuable experience last year, and I will look to him to have a bigger year this season.

"He has all the ability to be an impact player with his speed and work ethic, which will make a difference and for sure make him a fan favourite again.”

As for the homecoming of Power, Buckman added: “It’s great to see Mikey back in the gold and blue.

"He can comfortably play at National League level and brings a different dimension to the line-up.

"His physical presence on the ice and his ability to find the net brings even more depth this year.”

Briggs played his junior hockey at Streatham, but joined Romford Buccaneers in 2021-22 and became a favourite with his energy and skill.

After a season back with Streatham, he rejoined the Romford club last season and proved his worth with the senior Raiders.

Power, meanwhile, had spells in the junior systems at Slough and Swindon after the old Rom Valley Way rink closed down.

He then spent three seasons in the United States, playing in the WSHL, and joined Bracknell Bees on his return to the UK.

After a mid-season move to Milton Keynes in 2022, he joined Raiders and soon became a favourite with the fans.

Power started his Raiders career with a hat-trick at Peterborough and proved his versatility with impressive displays as a forward, a solid defenceman and an element of physicality in support of his team mates.

In his previous spell as a Raider, he made 108 appearances and scored 64 points (19 goals, 45 assists) while picking up 207 minutes in penalties.

He scored 28 goals and 43 assists for the Chieftains in Division One South last term.
