A spokeswoman for Santander said: “In response to a continuing and sizeable shift towards customers using digital banking, we are making changes to our branches to better support our customers. “We will continue to invest in both our branch network – comprising of full-service branches, counter-free branches, reduced-hour branches, Santander Locals, and our increasingly popular work cafes – as well as our digital banking services, so we can be there to support our customers however they choose to bank with us.” A NatWest spokesperson said: "Our branch network is a central part of how we serve customers, and we continue to invest in this for the future, with an increase in our investment into branches planned over the next three years. "We carefully assess where and when we make the difficult decision to close a branch to minimise the impact any change may have on our customers and colleagues." A spokeswoman for Lloyds Banking Group said: “Customers want the freedom to bank in the way that works for them and we offer more choice and ways to manage money than ever before. “From our leading apps and 24/7 messaging service to local banking options like our community bankers, PayPoint and access to all of our Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland branches, we’re giving our customers the flexibility to bank wherever and whenever they need us.” Santander Andover – May 12 Banbridge – May 19 Birmingham – Shirley – May 20 Bishop Auckland – May 5 Bridgend – May 12 Cwmbran – May 13 Enniskillen – May 12 Golders Green – May 13 Gosport – High Street – May 5 Haverfordwest – May 5 Heswall – Telegraph Road – May 13 Huntingdon – May 5 Leyland – May 6 Liskeard – May 20 Macclesfield – May 12 Mansfield – May 6 Merthyr Tydfil – May 6 Newton Abbot – May 19 Newtownabbey – Glengormley – May 6 Northallerton – May 6 Pontefract – May 5 Redditch – May 13 Ringwood – May 6 Stafford – May 19 Stranraer – May 13 Stratford-upon-Avon – May 12 Welwyn Garden City – May 5 NatWest Portishead – May 12 Ashford (Middlesex) – May 12 Barnet – May 11 Brentwood – May 13 Eastcote – May 11 Harlow – May 21 Hartlepool – May 14 Hornchurch – May 21 Hove – May 19 London – Tooting – May 18 Loughton – Old Station Road – Sainsburys – May 18 Manchester – Cheetham Hill – May 12 Manchester – Chorlton – May 20 Orpington – May 27 Waltham Cross – May 28 Lloyds Bank Falmouth – May 18 Wymondham – May 21 Bournemouth – May 28 London – Fitzrovia – May 27 London – Streatham – May 28 London – Victoria – May 27 London – West End – May 27 Redhill – May 28 Halifax Web Link Santander, NatWest, Lloyds, Halifax closing 52 bank branches before end of May … Birmingham Live
