Description

The works, set to take place from Monday, July 21 to Friday, July 25, will affect key routes in south London.

Trains between London Victoria and Portsmouth Harbour, Barnham and Bognor Regis, and Chichester and Brighton are all set to be disrupted.

Some lines between Barnham and Havant will be closed, which will affect the 9.35pm train from London Victoria to Portsmouth Harbour.

This train, which usually separates at Barnham to form the 11.15pm Barnham to Bognor Regis service, will instead run through to Portsmouth Harbour.

The 11.15pm train will run separately from a different platform.

The 4.55am Chichester to Brighton train will start from Barnham instead on Tuesday to Friday.

A rail replacement bus will run from Chichester to Barnham, departing earlier than the usual train time.

More lines in south London will be closed from Monday, July 21 to Thursday, July 24, affecting London Overground services between Highbury & Islington and Crystal Palace/West Croydon.

Southern Rail services between London Victoria/Uckfield and London Bridge, and London Bridge and Streatham Hill/East Croydon/Caterham will also be affected.

The closure of lines between London Bridge and Norwood Junction/Crystal Palace means that no London Overground services will run between New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace/West Croydon from approximately 11.50pm until the end of service.

Replacement bus services will be run by Southern Rail between London Bridge and Streatham Hill/East Croydon.

Some Southern services will also be amended from 11.30pm until the end of service.

The 10.33pm Uckfield to London Bridge train will terminate at East Croydon and the 11.20pm London Victoria to London Bridge train will run non-stop from Streatham Hill.

The 11.58pm London Bridge to Streatham Hill train will run non-stop and the 12.02am London Bridge to East Croydon train will be diverted, running non-stop from London Bridge to Norwood Junction.

The 12.17am London Bridge to Caterham train will also be diverted, running non-stop from London Bridge to Norwood Junction.

The 12.35am London Bridge to East Croydon train will only call at Norwood Junction and East Croydon.

Replacement bus services will run where necessary.

The disruption is set to worsen for those travelling between London Victoria and Horsham.

Engineering work is taking place between Three Bridges and Horsham, closing some lines overnight.

From Monday, July 21 to Thursday, July 24, the 11.35pm London Victoria to Horsham train will terminate at Three Bridges.

A rail replacement bus will run from Three Bridges to Horsham, extending journey times for those who use it.

Southern Rail is advising passengers to check before they travel and to allow extra time for journeys.
