Specsavers director completes 15

A dispensing director from Specsavers Streatham has raised £10,000 with family and friends for the Royal Marsden Hospital after completing a 15-mile march through London.

Shivani Patel started the walk at the Marsden’s Chelsea hospital and journeyed through Fulham, Putney, Wimbledon and Cheam before finishing at the Marsden’s hospital in Sutton.

Patel said she had never taken part in an event like the Marsden March before so completing it was a challenge that proved to be rewarding.

‘This cause has always been close to my heart as I have seen first-hand the incredible care and support that the Royal Marsden provides to so many people. With one in two individuals affected by cancer at some point in their lives, supporting a local charity with such a profound impact on the community felt deeply important to me,’ Patel said.
