Wandsworth featured as November in ‘most boring calendar’

Description

Wandsworth has been selected to represent November in Access Self Storage’s new charity calendar, which turns everyday storage units into quirky, themed monthly scenes.

The light-hearted project aims to raise £10,000 for Cancer Research UK, with 100 per cent of proceeds going to the charity.

The calendar features 12 storage units from across the UK, each decorated with a nod to its month.

Wandsworth’s unit, titled Mr November, features a single poppy wreath placed inside the unit, which is a tribute to remembrance and the UK’s veterans.

The idea behind the calendar is to poke fun at the ordinarily plain world of storage, with Access Self Storage calling it “possibly the most boring calendar ever” as a tongue-in-cheek marketing line.

Despite the self-deprecating name, being included means Wandsworth’s branch was chosen ahead of dozens of other stores.

Funnily enough, Wandsworth has also been named by Muddy Stilletos as one of the best places to live for 2026.

The calendar is priced at £5 and 3,000 copies have been printed, with each of the company’s 57 UK branches stocking 50 copies.

All proceeds will go directly to Cancer Research UK’s ongoing research efforts.

Other south London areas featured include Twickenham, Streatham, and Cheam.

Locals can pick up a copy at Access Self Storage Wandsworth on 249–251 Merton Road or purchase online.

Access Self Storage hopes the project will bring a mix of humour and charity, while shining a spotlight on communities across the country.
