Two children and an adult have died in a horrific truck collision in regional Victoria.

The truck collided with a car at the intersection of Eurambeen-Streatham and Mount William roads in Stoneleigh, west of Ballarat, about 9.30am on Tuesday.

Police say the car appears to have rolled and been crushed.

An adult and two children died at the scene.

Another adult, who was trapped inside the car, suffered life-threatening injuries and will be airlifted to hospital.

Glenelg Highway crash: Woman killed and man hospitalised in two-car collision - 7NEWS

One person has died and another taken to hospital in a two-car crash in regional Victoria.

The two cars collided on the Glenelg Highway near Woorndoo-Streatham Road, far west of Melbourne, about 10am Sunday.

The female driver and sole occupant of one of the cars died at the scene.

The male driver of the other car was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Both are yet to be formally identified.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
