A man was found guilty of the rape of a woman in Brighton after a night out.

Darrell Moore met the victim at a seafront nightclub with friends in May 2022.

They then attended a friend’s flat in the city, where he committed two rapes and two sexual assaults by penetration.

Moore, 33, of Albert Carr Gardens, Streatham, stood trial at Hove Crown Court on 20 October this year.

A jury found him guilty of the four counts on 24 October.

When officers arrived in Streatham Hill they found a man with a stab wound. He has been taken to hospital.

In a statement, the Metropolitan Police said:

"Around 13:00hrs on Monday, 6 October, officers attended Streatham Hill, following reports of a stabbing.
