Gas network replacement works to begin Submitted by daniel on Wed, 17/01/2024 - 08:00 Picture Image Work to replace around 250 metres of ageing metal gas pipes at the intersection of London and Streatham Roads in Mitcham is due to begin next week (22 January), as part of immediate urgent works to rectify leaks. The sections being replaced have been repaired many times, and new plastic pipes will provide a permanent solution to maintain gas supplies to the area.
