Transport for London has launched a consultation to the wider public on plans to withdraw the 415 service completely and extend the 333 bus route in its place.

The 415 currently runs between Old Kent Road Tesco and Tulse Hill station, serving Elephant and Castle, Kennington, Oval and Brixton along the way.

Under the proposals, the 333 would be extended from its existing terminus at Elephant and Castle to Old Kent Road Tesco.

Paramedics rushed to Leigham Court Road in Streatham at 3.05pm yesterday (September 14) following reports of gunshots.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 3.06pm yesterday (14 September) to reports of a shooting in Leigham Court Road, SW16.

"We sent resources including ambulance crews, a clinical team manager, an advanced paramedic, an incident response officer and London’s air ambulance.

A Met Police spokesperson said: "Officers attended the scene quickly alongside the London Ambulance Service and a man in his 20s was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

"An investigation has been launched, and no arrests have been made at this early stage.

Abdulkadir Mahamed, 22, was taken to hospital by his friends after he was stabbed in the early hours of Saturday, July 25.
