Several lines have been closed which are set to impact Southern rail services on Saturday and Sunday. Some services will not run while others will be diverted, with journey times expected to increase. Passengers have been advised to plan extra time for their journeys and to check before they travel. Here’s a breakdown of the disruption expected this weekend: Saturday and Sunday (September 12 and 13): • All lines are closed between London Bridge and Streatham via Peckham Rye due to planned engineering works. Buses will replace trains between these two stations, making additional stops at Herne Hill, Streatham Hill, and Streatham Common. Connecting train services are running between Streatham and East Croydon. Journey times will increase when using replacement buses, passengers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys. • Severe route amendments and temporary service reductions are in place between Horsham and Barnham. Rail replacement buses are operating between these stations. Sunday only (September 13): • A track renewal is taking place between Guildford and Earlswood on Sunday, closing all lines. Buses will replace trains between Purley and Redhill, Reigate, and Horley. Buses are also operating between Redhill and Tonbridge. • Direct trains will not run between London Victoria and Reigate. • Early morning trains (before 09am) will run on an amended timetable between London Victoria and Brighton with extended journey times.
