M25 traffic RECAP: Major motorway at a standstill after crash

The accident comes as National Highways confirmed the full details on all of the roadworks impacting travel along Kent's busiest A-roads and motorways this week.

Between Monday, October 6 and Sunday, October 12, various projects and schemes will see stretches of key routes closed overnight, typically between the hours of 8pm and 6am.

Each night between Monday and Friday, the M20 coastbound will close between Junction 7, near Maidstone, and Junction 9, for Ashford, from 8pm to 6am. This is to allow for surface works to be completed along this section of the motorway.

Then on Saturday night, the M20 London-bound will close between Junction 9 and Junction 8 from 8pm to 6am, again for surface works, KentLive has reported.
