This year’s landmark festival, running from September 13th to October 4th 2025, boasts a sensational line-up of nearly 30 films, catering to every taste and age. From blockbuster thrills to heart-warming tales, cult classics to thought-provoking documentaries, all screenings are absolutely free and powered entirely by dedicated volunteers. Films on offer include: Blockbuster Buzz: Catch the supernatural heat of Sinners starring Michael B. Jordan, the glamorous The Last Show Girl with Pamela Anderson, and family favourites like Moana 2 and a magical Wicked (Sing-along). Oscar-Winning Artistry: Be captivated by the beautiful, Oscar-winning animated feature, Flow, and the heartwarming, all-ages adventure of Wild Robot. Family Fun: Our first-ever parent and baby screening features the classic family comedy The Parent Trap at Sunnyhill Children’s Centre. Music to Your Ears: Experience unique film and music fusions, from the story of Irish rappers Kneecap at the White Lion, to Timothy Chalamet’s portrayal of Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown (complete with live Dylan classics at Hillside Gardens!), and the grand closing extravaganza of Little Shop of Horrors at St Peter’s Church – get ready to sing along! Laugh Out Loud: Enjoy side-splitting comedies like the Aussie classic Crackerjack, the hilariously unlikely Alien on Stage, and the wildly inventive slapstick of Hundreds of Beavers. Something Different: Dive into the supernatural with I Saw the TV Glow at Putt Putt, embrace your inner witch with Practical Magic (including tarot readings!), and be moved by the emotional and haunting drama All of Us Strangers. Insightful Documentaries: Don’t miss a special Q&A with Pauline Black, iconic frontwoman of The Selecter, alongside screenings of Dennis & Lois and Patrice: The Movie. World Cinema Wonders: Indulge in the delicious The Taste of Things at Streatham Wine House, and travel to Sudan with Talking about Trees. British Brilliance: Witness Saoirse Ronan’s tour-de-force performance in the visually stunning 2024 film The Outrun. Timeless Classics: Relive a piece of history with A Royal Night Out, celebrate the 75th anniversary of Sunset Boulevard, and honor David Lynch with his critically acclaimed and unforgettable film, The Elephant Man. The organisers say: The Streatham Free Film Festival is more than just a series of screenings; it’s a community-led celebration that brings people together to enjoy the magic of cinema and champion their local neighbourhood. This not-for-profit, volunteer-powered festival is part of a wider movement across London, fostering knowledge in film, nurturing artists and audiences, and supporting a diverse mix of films in unique pop-up cinemas across SW2 & SW16.
