Streatham bus crash leaves child injured in hospital

Police were called to the crash on Leigham Court Road near Etherstone Road in Streatham at around 4.15pm on April 20.

Paramedics treated an 11-year-old boy and took him to hospital where his injuries are not life-threatening or changing.

There have been no arrests but enquiries continue with officers asking anyone with information to get in touch.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “On Monday, 20 April at 16:14hrs police were called to reports of a collision between a bus and a child on Leigham Court Road at the junction with Etherstone Road, Streatham.

“Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service, who treated an 11-year-old boy before taking him to hospital. His injuries have since been assessed as non-life-threatening or life-changing.

“No arrests have been made. Enquiries continue and anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting CAD 5283/20Apr.”
