Tesco permanently closes its Streatham Crown Express store

Ahead of the opening of its new branch in central Brixton, Tesco has confirmed the permanent closure of its Streatham Crown Express store.

In a statement, Tesco said that it would “continue to serve the local area” with its nearby Express stores in West Norwood and Dulwich and Extra stores in Streatham.

Staff have now been transferred to nearby stores.

A Tesco spokesperson added:

“We have taken the difficult decision to close our Streatham Crown Express.

“We continue to serve the local area through a number of other nearby stores.”
