Homes in south London may temporarily lose their water supply as it slowly returns to normal, Thames Water has said.

Some households have been without water since Tuesday evening, following a burst pipe.

T hames Water says it has fixed the burst pipe restoring supply "to the majority of homes" in south London which were left without water since Tuesday evening.

Until the end of March, there will be weekend disruptions to Southern, Thameslink, and Gatwick Express train services on the Brighton Main Line.

Streatham RedHawks bounced back from a disappointing defeat on home ice the weekend before with a 7-1 win over visiting Swindon Wildcats 2 on Saturday, writes Chris Beal.

Thousands of homes and businesses, including 11 care homes and 29 schools, in the Streatham, Penge and Sydenham areas are without water or enduring low water pressure for a third day today, following a burst water main in Crystal Palace on Tuesday.
