Today I am resigning from the Labour Party after the best part of two decades’ membership and dedicating much of my adult life to the party.

A Freedom of Information request by the Lambeth LibDems has revealed that Lambeth Council turns down more than two-thirds of requests from parents seeking to delay school entry for summer-born children — one of the highest rejection rates in the country.

With the school term just weeks away, Lambeth Liberal Democrats are urging the Labour-run council to reconsider its rigid approach and support families trying to make the best decision for their children.
