Armed Officers from the Met Police quickly responded, boarding the bus and arresting the suspect on suspicion of possessing a firearm. A suspected air rifle was recovered at the scene. There were no reports of any injuries, and the situation was brought under control without further incident. The investigation is ongoing. Emergency services were first alerted at 4:39pm (14 May), after which ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters were deployed from nearby stations including Tooting, Norbury, and West Norwood. The loft area of the house was ablaze, but fortunately, seven people evacuated the building safely before crews arrived. No injuries have been reported.
