Streatham Hill stabbing near Starbucks: Man in hospital

The incident happened outside a Starbucks in Streatham Hill at around 1pm today (October 6).

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found a man who been stabbed.

He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital where his injuries were assessed as non-life-threatening.

No arrests have been made but police continue to investigate.

A crime scene is in place, near to the Starbucks and a parade of shops.

The cordon has been extended since being in place, stretching up to the Superdrug.

Pictures from the scene show blood on the pavement outside the shopfront of the Starbucks.

Alongside it are bits of clothing scattered on the floor.

Pedestrians in Streatham are having to walk on the edge of the pavement or the road itself as the entire pavement has been blocked off by police.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "Around 1pm on Monday, October 6, officers attended Streatham Hill, following reports of a stabbing. A man, aged in his 20s, was treated at the scene for a stab wound.

"He was taken to hospital, where his injuries were assessed as non-life-changing and non-life-threatening. Police are making enquiries, and no arrests have been made at this stage."
