A Starbucks in London was cordoned off this afternoon (October 6) after a man in his 20s was stabbed, the Mirror reports.

Eyewitnesses were urging others to avoid the area as police managed the scene in Streatham Hill in south London.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "Around 1pm on Monday, October 6, officers attended Streatham Hill, following reports of a stabbing.

"A man, aged in his 20s, was treated at the scene for a stab wound.

A horrific knife attack has left the streets of a London high street covered in blood. The public is being asked to avoid Streatham Hill as the emergency services deal with the situation.

Local councillor, Martin Abrams, posted on X: "Really shocking stabbing incident in Streatham this afternoon.

"Local Councillors are in touch with the Council and Police and will update with information as we get it.
