The magnificent Streatham Hill Theatre – which faces a plan to turn it into a church – will host the Brixton Chamber Orchestra (BCO) on its annual Christmas tour of Lambeth this year.

Most homeless households in Lambeth should now expect to be placed outside the borough – and in many cases outside the southeast – under a major overhaul of the council’s Placement Policy.

Brixton Chamber Orchestra's annual Christmas Estates Tour is back for 2025. From 12 to 21 December 2025, the orchestra will be taking seasonal setlist around Lambeth. There will be something for everyone - from classical and grime to disco, pop, jazz, and, of course, your festive favourites.

The MOBO Group and Greene King have announced the opening of a new pub partnership together – the ‘House of MOBO’, a self-styled ‘vibrant community hub’ in Gipsy Hill that looks to celebrates Black culture and “reimagine what a modern pub can be.”
